Right of Withdrawal
This information applies to consumers within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and explains the statutory right of withdrawal (14 days), the legal exceptions (especially for made-to-order / clearly personalised pieces), and the consequences of withdrawal. Please keep this information for your records.

1) Right of withdrawal for consumers
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or independent professional activity.
 
2) Important note for handmade & customised furniture
Many of our pieces are handcrafted and may be produced to individual specifications (for example: custom dimensions, finishes, fabrics, colours, special carvings, or other personal selections). For contracts involving goods that are not prefabricated and are made on the basis of an individual choice or are clearly personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. Please see Section 6 (Exceptions).
3) Withdrawal instructions
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
Withdrawal period
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you who is not the carrier, takes possession of the goods: 

if you have ordered one or more goods in a single order; 

if you have ordered several goods in a single order and the goods are delivered separately, from the day you take possession of the last good; 

if the goods are delivered in several partial shipments or pieces, from the day you take possession of the last partial shipment or piece.
How to exercise the right of withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Möbel Lippold MC GmbH, Frankfurter Straße 123, 63303 Dreieich, Germany, Phone: +49 152 0256 0286, Email: info@moebel-lippold.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example, by letter or email). 

You may use the model withdrawal form provided below, but this is not mandatory. 

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notice before the withdrawal period expires.
 
4) Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. 

Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fees for the reimbursement. 

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
Return of goods
You must send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
Return shipping costs: You bear the direct costs of returning the goods, including parcel goods and non-parcel (freight) goods. The costs of returning goods that cannot be shipped by parcel are estimated at a maximum of approx. EUR 99.
Care, packaging & risk during return: Please package the item securely for transport. Until the goods arrive back to us, you bear the transport risk for the return shipment. If goods are returned damaged due to insufficient packaging or handling during return transport, we may reduce the reimbursement to reflect the diminished value, in accordance with statutory provisions.
Compensation for diminished value: You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
 
5) Return process for furniture (practical guidance)
For larger furniture items, return shipping may require freight logistics. After we receive your withdrawal notice, we will provide return instructions so the return can be arranged safely. You may organise the return yourself or request a quote for collection by our logistics partners; in either case, the return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
 
6) Exceptions / early expiry of the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for:
goods that are not prefabricated and are produced based on an individual choice or decision by the consumer, or are clearly personalised (made-to-order / customised pieces); 

goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; 

alcoholic beverages, the price of which was agreed at the time of conclusion of the contract, the delivery of which can only take place after 30 days, and the actual value of which depends on fluctuations in the market; 

newspapers, periodicals, or magazines (with the exception of subscription contracts).
The right of withdrawal expires early in the case of:
sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons if their seal has been removed after delivery; 

goods which, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other items; 

audio or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging if the seal has been removed after delivery.
Important distinction: If your item arrives with transport damage or a defect, this is handled under statutory warranty rights and transport-damage procedures, not as a withdrawal case. Please contact us promptly with photos so we can assist and resolve the matter.
Note: Statutory rights, in particular warranty rights, remain unaffected.
